A German version in minutes.
The AI Suite extends the TYPO3 translation workflow you already know: whole pages including metadata, single content elements, records and even XLF language files.
Translate pages and elements
-
1
Translate a whole page
Open the page Content Blocks in the page module (Content > Layout). It has no German version yet. Click Translate whole page with AI, choose English as source, German as target and a model, check the summary and click Next.
-
2
Check the result
Back in the page module, choose Language comparison in the upper dropdown and All languages in the lower one. The German column now holds the translated page including its metadata.
-
3
Fill the gaps of a partial translation
Open Content Blocks GUI in the language comparison. Only some elements are German. Click Translate in the German column, pick a translation model, select the missing elements and click Continue.
-
4
Activate the new elements
Translated content elements are created hidden. Review the German texts and image alternative texts, then enable the elements.
Glossary, records and XLF files
-
1
Look at the glossary
In the list module (Content > Records), select the site root and open the records of type Glossary entry. Five terms are defined, for example Content Blocks, which must never be translated. Add your own entry in English and translate it into German.
-
2
Translate a record
In the list module, open the folder News and click the flag with the AI Suite icon for German next to a news record. Choose a model. The translation opens in the editing form.
-
3
Translate an XLF file
Go to Content > AI Suite, switch to Agency and choose Translate XLF file. Enter the extension key
ai_suite_demo_theme, selectlocallang.xlf, target language German, and translate only the missing labels. Review the labels and save the file.
